Happy Monday! After a little break, I’m ready to get back at it and kick-off our new summer study! The truth is it barely feels like summer here right now – we’ve had the worst weather. It’s mid-May, and I wore both a jacket and boots this week. What the what?! It’s also rained like crazy. I’m thankful I don’t have seasonal depression because if I did, I would have been depressed for the past four weeks straight. SEND HELP.
While I anxiously await real summer weather, I put some time in preparing our next SOAP study: 1st and 2nd Corinthians. Like our other studies, here’s how it’ll work: Each weekday (Monday through Friday), I’ll post a brief devotional on a few verses or a chapter from Corinthians. We’ll study the scripture, observe what’s happening in the passage, apply it to our lives, and finish with prayer.
Guys. I am so excited for this study. (I know, I know, I always say that. I’m a cliché. But it’s true!) I’ve been studying Corinthians on my own for the past few weeks, and it’s been speaking to me in big ways. We’re going to dig into some of Paul’s most convicting teachings on sin and judging others (can’t wait, right?!); we’ll study the beautiful picture of the church that Paul lays out. We’ll talk about opposition, feeling like we’re never enough, relationships, and so, so much more. Here are the details:
1st Corinthians: Monday, May 23rd – Friday, June 17th
Break Week: Monday, June 20th – Friday, June 24th
2nd Corinthians: Monday, June 27th – July 15th
I hope you’ll join us – and invite a friend to join us too! You can always sign up to receive the devotionals straight to your inbox at the link below and share this photo (below) with a link to today’s post on your social media outlets to ask others to join you!
See you Monday.
